Day 89 - Outreach
Before the Temple in Ruins 85 - 8/10

The text I just recieved from Steve
“just saw an interesting thing. to avoid my car a raccoon jumped off a bridge”
…
Lowe’s has been working on a new Outreach program…
it started yesterday, but we (steve and I) hadn’t gotten a chance to talk with the fellow who joined our pallet strip…
We weren’t aware of what the Blanchard Valley Center was so we asked our coach, who nondescriptly said people with handicaps…
However, this kid was of adequate stature, had both hands and a full head of hair, so we had no idea what “handicap” meant…Aside from his super strength and unparalleled work ethic (to be fair anyone who works there has figured out they don’t expect much)
Our first clue came when I said “it’s hot as hell in here” and he replied…”oh I don’t feel those things”…so I assumed…superhero
Today I wasn’t on the strip but Steve was, so he had some things to say come break…and this is what he said…(after steve returned from the monthly birthdays meeting, his birthday is Thursday) “how old are you going to be?”…steve replies “26”…”oh awesome, I’m going to be 21, I don’t want to be a virgin anymore”
hopefully steve just walked away from that, as it’s totally bizarre as an introduction.
he later informed steve that scientists have finally successfully begun combining animal dna with that of humans, humans only receive the good attributes from the animals…claws, faster running speeds, awesome sqwaks…he claimed that eventually he’s going to have the crescent mooned eyes of a bengal tiger and will promptly pounce…
after which he held an hour and a half conversation (dare I say symposium) on Modern Warfare…
Steve had an excellent night…
is this insensitive?
