Day 90 - The Temple is Fucking Dead!

Before the Temple in Ruins 86 - 8/11

This may be my favorite image ever…I found it at an antique mall in Maumee a few weeks ago and have been trying to find something to do with it since then…today I’ve finally decided that I’m going to keep it and frame it as it is…it’s perfect.

how this postcard has survived this long is amazing…it’s blurry, the subjects are silhouetted, the main focus seems to be the mound of hay, and there are horses asses in it…it breaks all sorts of photographic convention…

….

I’ve set a date for the demolition of the temple…

I’ve been dreading blogging lately, and I’ve hit a brick wall on art making (clearly in light of barely touching that postcard above)…and I don’t have another show until the middle of November (No Man Can Be My Equal, Syracuse, NY), so that will be the cut off date for all work that I’ve been working on for “Before the Temple in Ruins”

Over the next two months I’ll be finishing up any ideas that I’ve put off, after November though I’ll continue shooting videos for Before the Temple and possibly making art if ideas come up, cuz I have whole rolls of transparency film still…but I won’t be blogging…this blog may not even exist I may cancel it.

Don’t fret, I’ll be starting a new counterpart blog project…

I came up with it a while ago, and I’m very excited…

It’s either going to be called

1. The Temple is Fucking Dead!!

2. Before the Altar, Laid Rest a Monster

3. All Your Temple are Belong to Us (what up, Zero Wing jokes…)
